 REQUIRED STAFF

Not every day do you wake up, build an institution and begin changing the world!

The NGO Braille Without Borders ihas started a new centre: The International Institute for Social Entrepreneurs (IISE). The IISE has exciting opportunities for those who are willing to work in a participative environment with service as their motto.

The IISE is looking for Catalysts

COME BE A CATALYST!

Description of IISE
The Institute of Social Entrepreneurs (IISE) is a non-profit institute founded in 2008 by world
renowned social entrepreneurs Paul Kronenberg and Sabriye Tenberken. The mission of the institute is to empower its participants to create and lead their own social projects by training them in subjects ranging from leadership, organization building, project management, financial planning and fund raising.

The institute offers a one year program (Jan to Dec) that uses a hands-on, “learning by doing” approach with a heavy emphasis on real world case studies. The unique curriculum is designed to support a “dream factory” where participants learn to convert their dreams of
social change into reality.

Our participants, all over 22 years of age, are inspiring visionaries that come mainly from
developing nations. All of them have overcome significant life challenges ranging from vision impairment, war, discrimination and exploitation. They have a burning passion to make the world a better place and the strength to be forces of good rather than victims of circumstance.

The IISE campus is located by the side of a large scenic fresh water lake near the southern tip of the lush, tropical state of Kerala, India. The campus is an eco-friendly paradise and all
selected candidates can expect to receive accommodation within or near to the campus.
Type of people we are looking for IISE is seeking highly motivated, creative and independent educators (we prefer the term “Catalysts”) who have the boldness to dream big and a passion to change the world. An entrepreneurial spirit, a sense of humour, a liberal mind set and an “anything is possible” attitude will be a great plus.

The role of the Catalyst is critical to building IISE into a world class institute. We expect our
Catalysts to be role models and discussion partners for the participants, inspiring them to be the force of positive social change in our world.
An excellent written and verbal communication skill set in English, is a must.
In addition the ability to work in a collaborative team environment is critical; the IISE is a non-competitive, non-hierarchical environment where our sole focus is on nurturing our
participants to be the leading social entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

We expect potential candidates to have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leading
corporation, educational institution or non-profit organization. We are also very open to
candidates with a background in arts, theatre and music.

IISE is an equal opportunity employer and is strongly against any discrimination based on
gender, caste, creed, country of origin, disability or religion.
